I've spent my entire life in the "land of sunshine and Mickey Mouse," a.k.a. Florida. We bought our first home in the same small-town neighborhood I grew up in, a short drive away from Central Florida's theme parks. 

. : F A M I L Y : .

I married my husband, Dustin, on the beach in August 2011. Dustin is currently finishing up his Ph.D. in Computer Science... and I've already informed him that I will be calling him "doc" every day for the rest of our lives. We hope that we will be blessed with children someday, but our "furbaby" Toby (a six year old chihuahua mix) keeps us busy while we wait on God's timing.

- I hold a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Central Florida.

- I've taught piano lessons, children's theatre, and fourth grade in a self-contained classroom.

- I currently teach homeschool writing classes for kids in grades 3-12.

- I'm an exhibitor with the Institute for Excellence in Writing.

Food: I've never met a potato I didn't like (mashed, french fried, baked, hashbrowned...)

Beverage: Sweet iced tea, specifically from Chick-fil-A.

Book: Little Women by Louisa May Alcott

TV Show: Madam Secretary (but Parks and Recreation is a close second!)

Movie: Enchanted (Yes, it's a kids' movie. No, I don't care.)
